What Is a Gate Referral Code?
A Gate referral code links your new account to the person or publisher who invited you and determines how much of your trading fees you receive back. Gate attaches the code at registration. You cannot add or change it afterwards.
Under Gate's Super Commission rules, up to 40% of an invitee's trading fees is allocated to the referral relationship. The inviter chooses how to divide that amount. By default, the inviter receives 30% and the new user gets 10%.
CHEAPFEE gives you 15%, which is 5 percentage points above the default. The rebate covers eligible spot, futures, margin and Alpha trades. Alpha, now listed as Trenches in the app menu, is Gate's market for new tokens that trade on blockchains.
Gate also offers stocks, options and contracts for difference (CFDs). CFDs pay an asset's price change without giving you ownership of it. These products are not listed in the referral rules.
Your commission period begins at registration and runs for one year, covering trades during your first 12 months. Each account can use only one referral method. Any later changes to Gate's commission rates apply only to new invitees, so the split recorded when you register remains unchanged.
How to Use the Gate Referral Code CHEAPFEE
We timed registration through our own link using a test account. With an identity document ready, signing up with CHEAPFEE takes under ten minutes.
- Open the referral link: Use our CHEAPFEE link to have the code entered automatically. For manual registration, type CHEAPFEE into the referral code field before submitting.
- Stay on one regional site: Cross-site invitations are not supported. Switching to another regional Gate site during sign-up stops the referral link from working.
- Create your account: Register with an email address or phone number and choose a strong, unique password. Confirm the verification code sent by Gate.
- Complete identity verification: Upload a government-issued ID and finish the face scan. This Know Your Customer (KYC) check unlocks deposits, withdrawals and every Rewards Hub task.
- Turn on two-factor authentication: Add an authenticator app through the security settings. Two-factor authentication (2FA) requires a second code at login to protect your balance if someone steals your password.
- Start the Welcome Package: On your first day, open the Rewards Hub and claim the sign-up reward. Check the deadline beside each new user task, as all have time limits.
- Make your first deposit: Deposit at least 50 USDT, the Tether-issued stablecoin that tracks the US dollar. Check the task details beforehand to see which deposit methods qualify for that Gate event.
- Place your first trade: Complete a spot or futures trade worth at least 30 USDT. Referral data updates within 24 hours, so review your rebate records the following day.
Gate Welcome Bonus for New Users
The Rewards Hub advertises more than 10,000 USDT in new user rewards across two levels. New accounts earn vouchers for completing specified tasks. Gate displays each voucher's usage rules and expiry date when you claim it.
Welcome Package (135 USDT in total)
Advanced Trading Task (up to 15,000 USDT in total)
Rewards under the Advanced Trading Task increase with deposits and trading volume. To complete the first stage, you need a net deposit of at least 200 USDT and cumulative spot or futures trading volume of at least 6,000 USDT. Net deposits are total deposits minus total withdrawals.
The first two stage rewards are 10 USDT and 40 USDT. Stage three offers 300 USDT plus a 15-day VIP 5 fee trial. Later stages pay 1,000 USDT, then 2,000 USDT, followed by a final reward of 5,000 USDT plus 10,000 USDT.
Gate assigns VIP levels according to trading volume and asset balance. VIP 5 has much lower fees than the starting level, and you can view the higher-stage targets inside your account.
For most new users, realistic goals are the Welcome Package and the first one or two stages. Reaching the top stages requires very high trading volume, with high fees and risk. Set your trading plan first and treat rewards as a secondary benefit.
How Much the 15% Rebate Saves You
Your trading volume and choice of products determine the rebate's value. New accounts begin at VIP 0, where Gate's fee schedule lists spot maker and taker fees of 0.10%. Perpetual futures, which have no expiry date, cost 0.02% for makers and 0.05% for takers. Gate's own fee guide confirms that the 9 April 2026 fee update left VIP 0 to VIP 2 spot rates unchanged.
Maker orders enter the order book, the list of open buy and sell orders, and wait for a match. Taker orders immediately match an existing order. Our maker vs taker fees guide explains how this affects what you pay.
These estimates use VIP 0 taker rates.
Frequent futures traders benefit most. Savings are small for casual spot investors, making the Welcome Package more valuable to them in the first months. Actual savings also vary with your VIP level and whether you pay fees in GateToken (GT). A higher proportion of maker orders changes the calculation too.

How the Gate Referral Commission Works
After verifying your account, you can earn from the trading activity of people you invite. Each new user may join through just one of the following Gate invitation programmes.
Super Commission
The standard Super Commission programme is the only option that pays ongoing commission. For one year, you earn your share of the 40% allocation on each invitee's spot, Alpha, futures and margin fees. A slider lets you set the split. Users who join through Super Commission cannot receive rewards from other invitation events.
Earn Voucher
Depending on the current promotion, the Earn Voucher event awards up to 200 USDT to you and up to 100 USDT to each of two friends. Both friends must deposit at least 50 USDT and trade at least 80 USDT within the same round. If either fails to qualify, no one is paid. Vouchers expire after five days.
Only blockchain deposits and peer-to-peer (P2P) purchases count towards the deposit task. Card payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay are excluded, as are SEPA (euro bank transfers), PIX (the Brazilian instant payment system) and bank transfers.
Trading stablecoin pairs does not count towards the volume requirement. The event cannot be combined with referral commission, and neither side can receive a payout if either is a Gate affiliate.
Token Crew
Token Crew runs monthly with a shared prize pool. Phase 14 had an 800,000 USDT pool, with up to 100 USDT in token vouchers available to the inviter and each friend. Vouchers must be activated within 14 days.
Friends need to register using the code generated on the Token Crew page. Gate cancels rewards associated with extra accounts created for self-invitations.
Where Do I Find My Gate Referral Code?
Your referral code and link become available in the referral dashboard after account verification. The dashboard's location differs between the website and app.
On the Gate Website
- Log in: Sign in at Gate.com and hover over your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Open the referral dashboard: Choose Referral from the menu to access your invitation page.
- Create a link: Generate a new invitation link to give different groups of pe ople separate codes.
- Set the split: Use the commission slider to decide how much of the 40% pool your invitees get back as a rebate.
- Copy and share: Send the code or full link to the people you want to invite.
In the Gate App
- Open your profile: Tap the profile icon at the top left of the home screen.
- Find the referral section: Choose Referral to view active codes and their split settings.
- Manage your codes: Generate new links or adjust the rebate rate. You can also compare each code's results
- Review invitee progress: View each invitee's registration, verification and trading status in the dashboard.
- Share directly: Copy your code or use the share menu to send it through any messaging app.
Gate Referral vs Affiliate Programme
Every verified user can invite friends through Gate's self-service referral programme. Content creators, community managers and publishers can instead apply to the Gate Affiliate Program, with each application reviewed by Gate.
According to Gate, its affiliate network includes more than 80,000 affiliates across over 140 countries and regions.
Who Can Use the Gate Referral Code?
Eligibility for CHEAPFEE depends on your country of residence and the Gate company that serves it.
Excluded from the referral programme: Residents of Belgium, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, Austria and South Korea are excluded under Gate's referral rules.
Restricted from Gate.com: The global platform is also restricted in the United States, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain, India, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Russia and other locations, as set out in the Gate User Agreement.
Served by a regional Gate company: Gate operates separate platforms in several restricted markets, listed on its licences page. CHEAPFEE cannot attach to accounts on those sites because Gate does not support cross-site invitations.
- European Economic Area (EEA): The Malta Financial Services Authority has authorised Gate Technology Ltd under MiCA, the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, covering 29 EEA countries. Following the end of the MiCA transition period on 1 July 2026, EEA residents use Gate EU, which offers smaller rewards in USDC.
- United States: The separate, spot-only Gate US platform launched in August 2025.
- Japan: Gate Japan K.K. holds Financial Services Agency (FSA) registration number 00018.
- United Arab Emirates: The Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) has licensed Gate Technology FZE.
Australia: Gate Information Pty Ltd is registered with the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC). Australian residents can use CHEAPFEE on Gate.com because Australia appears on neither restricted list.

Hiding your location with a virtual private network (VPN) puts your account at risk. KYC links the account to your identity and country of residence. About Gate
Dr. Lin Han founded Gate in 2013. The cryptocurrency exchange rebranded from Gate.io to Gate in May 2025 and lists more than 5,300 cryptocurrencies, along with stocks, ETFs, CFDs and options. Check your country's eligibility before registering. The code does not work in excluded countries or on regional Gate platforms. Once registered, complete KYC and claim each Welcome Package task before its deadline. Only attempt the Advanced Trading Task if your normal trading plan already meets its targets.
