What Is the Fomo App Referral Code?
Each Fomo username doubles as a referral code, with a matching link structured as fomo.family/r/ followed by the username. Ours is fomo.family/r/datawallet10. As Fomo's referral help article explains, opening this link before registering identifies Datawallet as your referrer.
You receive a permanent 10% reduction in the trading fee, bringing the standard 0.50% rate down to 0.45%. The order screen shows this lower rate before you confirm a buy or sell. We receive 25% of the fees you pay, drawn from Fomo's revenue. Your total charge remains the discounted 0.45%.
Unlike the deposit challenges and time-limited vouchers often bundled with centralised exchange offers, Fomo has one Referral Program. Section 8 of its Terms of Service sets out the rules, prohibits self-referral and allows Fomo to change or cancel the programme without notice.

How to Use the Fomo Referral Code
Creating a Fomo account takes under a minute. Attach the referral before completing signup:
- Open the referral link first: Visit fomo.family/r/datawallet10 on the phone or computer you will use to trade. Continuing from this page into signup attaches the referral.
- Install or open Fomo: Download the iOS or Android app and check that the developer is FOMO Labs Inc. You can also continue at fomo.family on desktop, where the same account, balance and positions are available.
- Create the account: Sign in with an Apple ID or email address. During this step, Privy creates a self-custodial wallet for you, which means Fomo cannot move your funds.
- Check the referral field: If a referral code box appears during signup, enter datawallet10, including the underscore. Fomo's help centre says this is the only screen where a code can be applied.
- Fund the balance: Use the Coinbase-powered purchase option to buy USDC with Apple Pay or a debit card. Alternatively, deposit the dollar stablecoin USDC on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad or Ethereum. Robinhood Chain deposits arrive as USDG and convert into the Solana USDC balance.
- Confirm the rate on your first order: Check Fomo's fee in the buy panel before tapping confirm. It should show 0.45% for a Solana order of at least 190 USDC, or any order on the other supported chains.
- Recover a missing referral: If you opened the link but no referrer was recorded, go to Profile, then Settings, then Help and Support. Tap Contact Support and ask to be attached to datawallet10. Creating a second account to work around this counts as self-referral under the Terms.

How Much Does the 10% Discount Save?
The saving depends on the network you trade on and, for Solana, your order size. These fees reflect Fomo's trading fee article as of early September. Its documentation applies the discount to the standard 0.50% rate but does not confirm whether the flat Solana bands, reduced major-token rate or perps fee also qualify.
Fees apply to each side of a trade. Buying and later selling incurs the charge twice:
- A $500 Solana buy: You pay $2.25 instead of $2.50, saving 25 cents.
- $10,000 of monthly volume in $500 orders: Monthly fees fall from $50 to $45, a saving of $60 over a year.
- $100,000 of monthly volume: The fee falls from $500 to $450 a month, saving $600 annually.
- A $50 Solana buy: The flat 0.95 USDC band applies. Fomo does not document a discount for this band, so check the order screen for any reduction.
Fewer, larger orders benefit more. Trading in $20 and $50 increments incurs the flat bands and gains little from the code, while orders in the hundreds or thousands receive the full 10% reduction.

How Fomo Referral Commission Works
Fomo pays referrers 25% of the trading fees generated by users who register through their link. Payments arrive in the cash balance automatically, with nothing to claim. The help centre specifies these conditions:
- Solana first buys are excluded: A referred user's first purchase of a Solana token generates no referral fee. Every subsequent trade does.
- Base, BNB Chain and Monad trades count from the start: The 25% share applies to every trade on these chains, including the first.
- A minimum balance applies: Referral fees accrue only when the referrer holds at least 0.01 USDC in the account.
Under Section 8 of the Terms, you cannot refer yourself or accounts you control, or coordinate with others to manufacture rewards. Fomo determines what constitutes manipulation at its own discretion and can reclaim those rewards and suspend the account.
By on-chain standards, the 25% share is generous. Our Hyperliquid referral code guide details its 10% share of invitee fees. Hyperliquid's base taker fee is also lower at 0.045%, compared with Fomo's 0.50% on spot trades, meaning outright token purchases and sales. As a result, one active memecoin trader on Fomo can generate more commission than a much larger perpetual futures account elsewhere.

Where to Find Your Own Fomo Referral Code
Fomo assigns every account a referral link at creation. No application is required. To find it, follow the help centre's instructions:
- Open your profile: Log in to the Fomo app and tap the profile tab.
- Tap the gift icon: Look in the top right corner of the profile page.
- Copy what appears there: The code is your username. Your link is fomo.family/r/ followed by that username.
- Share it anywhere: Invitees must open the link or enter your username during signup. A referrer cannot be added to an existing account.
Choose a username you intend to keep. Section 5 of the Terms says handles are licensed rather than owned, and Fomo can reclaim or rename them for inactivity, impersonation or other breaches.

Fomo Referral Program vs Affiliate Program
Fomo's standard referral programme and creator affiliate programme are two tiers of the same system. They differ in eligibility and commission rates.
According to Fomo's affiliate page, more than $1.1 million in referral fees has been paid to date, with no cap on earnings. Commission percentages for the affiliate tiers are unpublished, so third-party claims about specific rates remain unverified.
The only documented benefit for referred users is the 10% fee discount. Although the affiliate page mentions exclusive promo codes for partner audiences, it does not explain what they offer.
Which Fomo Fees the Discount Does Not Touch
The referral code reduces Fomo's own trading fee. It does not cover the other costs associated with a trade:
- Network fees outside Solana: Fomo covers Solana's transaction charges, including gas, priority fees and the one-off token rent needed to open a token account. For Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Robinhood Chain and Ethereum, you pay the network fee, shown separately in the quote.
- Perpetual futures costs: Perps are leveraged contracts that track a price without a fixed settlement date. Fomo charges 0.05% per transaction, collected when a position opens and again when it closes. Hyperliquid's fees apply on top. Its fee schedule lists a base taker rate of 0.045%, bringing the combined taker cost to approximately 0.095% per side before funding payments. Fomo does not document whether the referral discount reduces its 0.05% charge.
- Contract-level token fees: Token creators sometimes build fees into their smart contracts. Fomo passes these charges through and has no control over them.
For cost-conscious traders, perps are the more consequential exclusion. Trading the same contract directly on Hyperliquid roughly halves the per-side cost, as explained in our Hyperliquid fees guide. The position behaves identically because Hyperliquid handles settlement in either case. See our perpetual vs spot explainer for how these contracts differ from token trades.

Who Can Use the Fomo Referral Code?
Any new account that Fomo is permitted to serve can receive the discount. Its Terms, revised on 17 August, set these conditions:
- New accounts only: Referrals attach at signup. Existing users cannot add a code, and creating a duplicate account to obtain one constitutes self-referral.
- Aged 18 or over: Users must be old enough to form a legally binding contract.
- Outside restricted jurisdictions: Fomo lists Crimea, Cuba, Donetsk, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Libya, Luhansk, Myanmar, North Korea, Sudan, Venezuela and Yemen. The restriction also covers any country under US, UK or EU sanctions, or where crypto transactions are prohibited. Citizenship, residence, location or incorporation in any of these jurisdictions disqualifies you. Using a VPN to bypass the restrictions is a material breach.
- US users get spot only: Americans can trade tokens and receive the referral discount. US persons cannot access perps or Robinhood stock tokens, regardless of their physical location.
- Robinhood tokens have extra limits: Alongside the US restriction, residents of Canada, the United Kingdom and Switzerland cannot access tokenised stock products.
- No KYC for spot trading: Because Fomo never holds your funds, it does not verify identity for token trading. It may require KYC, meaning formal identity verification, before allowing access to perps.
Our Fomo supported and restricted countries guide explains the rules for each jurisdiction in more detail.
About Fomo
Fomo is a self-custodial trading app from FOMO Labs Inc. Former dYdX engineers Paul Erlanger, Se Yong Park and Prashan Dharmasena founded the New York company in 2025.
The app uses one cash balance across Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain. Its public feed displays other traders' holdings and position performance, a social feature that distinguishes it from GMGN and Phantom. The linked Fomo explainer covers its wallet design, fees and risks in full.
Growth has been rapid. In June, Fomo's Series B announcement reported 625,000 users and $4 billion in cumulative volume, alongside a $75 million round led by Index Ventures. When it acquired Mobula's on-chain data technology at the end of August, the user count had exceeded 1.9 million. Monthly volume rose from $500 million in June to $1.5 billion in July. Perpetual futures launched in June on Hyperliquid and Trade[XYZ].
Section 18 of its Terms states that Fomo is not registered with or licensed by any regulator.
Final Thoughts
If you intend to trade on Fomo, there is no reason to sign up without the code. A 10% fee saving adds up over a year, even if it is small on an individual order. Just make sure datawallet10 is attached before creating the account.
Order size matters too. Solana's 0.50% rate, which qualifies for the discount, begins at 190 USDC. Combining small buys into fewer, larger orders therefore captures more of the saving than using the code alone.
Fees are only part of the decision. Fomo's perps charges approach twice Hyperliquid's own, and no compensation scheme backs a self-custodial wallet. Most tokens launched on-chain also lose their value. Spending five minutes with our guide to checking bundled wallets before buying is more valuable than any fee discount.
